Senthil Public School follows the Montessori method of education for its Pre-School children. The Montessori method of Education was founded by Dr Maria Montessori, an Italian physician when she became interested in the study of children’s learning and began to develop a philosophy of education now known as the Montessori Method.

The Montessori education approach is a comprehensive educational approach from birth to adulthood, based on the observation of children’s needs in a variety of cultures all around the world. Dr. Maria Montessori developed this educational approach based on her understanding of children’s natural learning tendencies.

Training Program

As the Montessori methodology is globalized, its essential for Montessori teachers to be trained.
Batches of teachers have been sent for training programs with IMTC Chennai and Karnataka chapter and made them certified Diploma holders in Montessori (D.M.T).
Initiated by our Correspondent Mrs. Deepthi Dhanasekar with our Senior Principal Mr. C. Srinivasan, 16 teachers have completed at Coimbatore, Erode, Hosur, and Bangalore and awarded Montessori training and certified with D.M.T.
In 2019-20 our school campus has been made the centre for the Montessori training program based on IMTC, Karnataka chapter.
Moreover, in-house training is given to the teachers by the trained teachers on all evenings and Saturdays. SPS introduced Montessori education in Dharmapuri.

These are Exercises for the child to learn to do living activities in a purposeful way. The Exercises of Practical Life are formative activities, a work of adaptation to the environment.

Sensorial Activities

Montessori believed that sensorial experiences began at birth. Through the senses, the child studies his environment. Through this study, the child then begins to understand his environment.

Language Development

When the child arrives in the Montessori classrooms, he has fully absorbed his culture’s language.

Arithmetic Activities

The Montessori math curriculum is one of the best examples of the unique beauty of Montessori materials. First, the Montessori practical life and sensorial activities give indirect preparations for math.

Culture and Science

Science is a part of our life. Science is everywhere from our kitchen to the pooja room so it is necessary for the child to know it. Children learn science naturally through observation and investigation.

Outdoor Play

Play grounds are places where children's play can take off and flourish. Our good and neat play area is large enough and designed in such a way that children's play can come to full expression, where they can swing, jump, climb slide and explore the natural world. It is also one of the things that characterize childhood.
