Activity 2 : Outreach Programme - இளந்தமிழ் மன்றம், DATE : 30.08.2024, DAY : Friday, Event Name : Clay Modelling, CONTENT: “Art is not a handicraft; it is the transmission of feeling, the artist has experienced.” Clay modelling can foster the students’ creativity and provide many developmental benefits for them. To enhance their motor skills, 14 students of class IX along with three teachers were taken to the ‘Handicrafts Small Scale industry’ in MGR Nagar, Adhiyammankottai, to learn hands on experience on Clay modelling. The Students learnt about the basic techniques which included rolling, pulling, smoothing, carving, joining pieces together and painting the piece of craft. It was well explained by Shri. Shanmugam and his wife about the traditional arts.
